The intervened wall of that watchtower from which the sea could be seen had always called me attention to its colors and its architecture. The great letters that advertised the restaurant formed the word PANORAMA, inviting you to come up. But what to do, simply represent it in a painting? It was then that I saw the worker who was preparing to climb the steps of his ladder to secure one of them. I imagined that the operator eliminated some letters from the word PANORAMA, transforming it into another new “WEAPON” and I thought I could show it in a diptych like two panels from a comic. Again, the use of black and white in one of the formats and naturalistic color in the other (apart from showing two different cloudscapes), would help me to temporarily separate the two moments. In the latest works, I do not separate myself from the industrial marker, it is reminiscent of chalk or white wax and helps to incorporate the force/gesture of the drawing in the painting.
