Once again, Agrasot enters with this little panel the topic that is closest to him: the work workshop with its evident accumulation of artistic pieces, decorative furniture. A young Goyesque girl listens to the painter's explanations in front of his portrait, while the gentleman, perhaps the girl's father, observes him carefully with his monocle. There is a detail that leads us to think that this painting was made by Agrasot when he was close to Fortuny, since the Japanese umbrella, resting on the tapestry in the background, reveals the recent discovery by the man from Reus, who had just returned from Paris, enthusiastic about the art of Japanese prints as seen in Portici's paintings.
